Delicious - social bookmarking

Above is a bundle that I have tagged on Delicious, a social bookmarking site.

I like that Delicious allows you to carry bookmarks wherever you are, rather than having to import them from browser to browser or device to device. That is immediately beneficial, and certainly time saving. As well, the fact that you can 'tag' your bookmarks with the reason that they're relevant to you - mine, specifically, being resources that provide 'real world' math experiences to my students, is great.

I think that the idea of social bookmarking can certainly enhance the classroom experience for students, as it encourages students to collaborate with much greater scope. As well, it makes organizing resources for later use much easier and efficient. Further, social bookmarking gives students a chance to have some ownership over their learning, as they need to become more involved in their learning experience if they are required to keep track/organize/use their social bookmarks.

I would like to see a better search function incorporated into Delicious, but otherwise, I can see how this would be a useful tool whenever using the web.
